How to use winrar Winrar is a program that is similar to winzip in that it allows you to pack and compress multiple files into one folder for easier sharing. Winrar has the benefit of allowing you to split a large file into smaller ones, for easy upload to a file sharing service, and then extract them into one large file with a few clicks. Here's how you do it.
First download winrar here and install it to your computer. It's free, and even though it will eventually say you have to pay for it, you can just close the "buy now" window and continue to use it for free.
Here's a video tutorial on how to use it.
Just break it down, download all the winrar files into one folder, click on the one labeled part1, when winrar loads up, click "extract to" to put the file where you want it, and then hit start. The program will do the rest.
You can find an alternate winrar program (with instructions) here, and you can find out how to extract just one winrar file from a series of files here.
